Growing up in Bihar, Dr. Singh witnessed firsthand how those in power disregarded ordinary citizens' struggles. Hajipur — despite its rich history and potential — has been overlooked for too long. Basic needs like electricity, education, and healthcare remain out of reach for many residents, while elected representatives often turn a blind eye. This experience drives him to be a voice for the unheard and a champion for the neglected.
What experiences changed the path?
In 2012, when he raised waterlogging with the district magistrate, he was told it was ‘not on the agenda’. Years of requests on waste, drains, and cleanliness met indifference. When a fellow citizen lost his life due to neglect and broken infrastructure, the shock ran deep. When his mother had to be taken to Patna for treatment because Hajipur lacked adequate care, the question hardened: what of families without a private car and driver? They have no options.
